European Funding: development cooperation, human rights, external relations

This training session focuses on European funding for projects outside the 25 member states of the European Union


After these two days you will be able to:
- distinguish between the different types of EU funding for projects outside the EU member states:
- regional programmes: ACP (African Caribbean and Pacific), ALA (Latin America and Asia), MEDA (Southern Mediterranean), TACIS (New Independent States), Phare (Romania, Bulgaria), CARDS (South-East Europe), and also EU-US, Canada, Australia.
- thematic programmes: democracy and human rights, co-financing with NGOs, food security, environment and forests, antipersonnel landmines, gender, health.
- humanitarian aid
- identify the most relevant programmes for your organisation and projects
- plan and organise your EU fundraising strategy
- discover the 20 EU selection criteria
- set up your project and manage it in the optimal way: objectives, activities, partners, budget, results - using the project cycle management concept
- assess and adapt your project to match the EU selection criteria
- find partners in Europe
- fill in the application forms, including the logical framework
- find out the answers to all your questions

This session will alternate presentations, exchanges and workshops, guided by two experienced trainers and practitioners.

Representatives of organisations intending to request EU-funding for their programmes or projects concerning development cooperation, human rights, and more generally, projects outside the European Union
- NGOs, organisations from the voluntary sector, charities...

- Attendance will be limited to 15 participants per session.
- You will only pay 440€ instead of 520€ if you make an early payment.
- The fee includes a comprehensive documentation set for each participant, refreshments and lunch.
- You will also receive a one-year access to the on-line description of all the EU funding programmes listed on our page: http://www.idseurope.org/en/Fundschart-en.htm
- There are reduced rates for additional participants from the same organisation (see registration form) and a 10% discount for members of ID's and participants from organisations which have already taken part in previous training sessions.
- The training session will take place next to the European Parliament (Metro Maelbeek). The address will be communicated after your registration.
